Scheduled for a Beating

So I booked my first show last week. It was a success, in my humble opinion. All the bands got paid, I even tipped the guy who worked the door and the barmaid. The bands all had something a little different to offer, and each brought their own specific crowd. But everyone got along pretty well. That's a pretty unusual, although the lack of a real metal influence probably helped a bit. It's when you bring the metal kids and the hardcore kids together that trouble starts. Hardcore kids want to dance and metal kids want to most. But I digress. Most of the people I expected to show, did, and a few people I didn't expect were there. That far outweighs the few that didn't show that I was expecting.

Since the show was a success, I am motivated to put on more in the near future. 2005 is going to be a good year.
